Anna Mae was actually mad when he sold the mules, packed his bag, and headed out. If only she'd send him a short note to let him know she and the girls are all right.
My review: Anna Mae is left to tend to her children as her husband leaves to take a job in Kansas. She is not very happy about this although she knows it will help them catch up on all the bills and provide food for them. Anna Mae tries to deal with all the responsibilities that the two of them usually did together. She is on the verge of losing her farm that means a great deal to the her, but temptation lurks around trying to lead her in a different direction. She thinks her husband has left her, along with the fact that she has another baby on the way. This is enough to make any of us distraut, but with her faith in God, she lets God lead her in the path he has put before her. This book reminds us that we always think we have everything planned out, but that God has a better plan for us ahead. This is a very good book and I think you all would enjoy it:)
